Stansted Lodge Elsenham is a cosy 9-bedroom guesthouse located in a very quiet location within the beautiful rural village of Elsenham, just a 10-minute drive (3.5 miles) from London Stansted Airport.

Since 2005, we've been offering comfortable accommodation with a personal touch.

Located within walking distance of Elsenham train station, you can easily reach Cambridge in 30 minutes or London Liverpool Street in 60 minutes. With nearby shops and public transport, we ensure a smooth and hassle-free stay.

SELF CHECK-IN

Our easy, fast and convenient self Check-in and self Check-out service is ideal for guests arriving late or departing early. An online check-in form, followed by property access information email will be send to guests within 48-hrs of arrival. We don't have a reception or waiting area at Stansted Lodge Elsenham. Check-in starts at 16:00 and ends at 23:00. Minimum check-in age is 18. Guests, children under the age of  18 must be accompanied by an adult. 

SELF CHECK-OUT

Check-out time is by 10:00. Guests are asked to collect all their belongings when leaving the room and drop their room key in the box by the front door. Lost keys or keys that are not returned upon check-out will incur a £15 automatic charge to card details provided at the time of booking.

ROOM RATES

All bookings are room only with no meal options. Reservations made under the non-refundable rate plan are final and cannot be cancelled or modified. Standard reservations can be cancelled free of charge up to 2 days (48-hours) prior to your scheduled arrival date. After this time, the booking becomes non-refundable and a cancellation fee equivalent to the cost of 1 night's stay will be charged to card details provided at the time of booking. We reserve the right to cancel any booking without a prior notice that does not have valid card details provided. PAYMENTS

All payments are processed via our secure online booking system. We don't accept cash or card payments at the property.

OUR ROOMS

All rooms are non-smoking and come with complimentary Wi-Fi, TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Guest can find useful information such as Wi-Fi password, host's contact details, house rules and emergency information on the poster in the room or in our online Guest Directory. Due to the layout, some rooms feature shared bathroom facilities. Rooms with ensuite facilities are also available.

COTS AND EXTRA BEDS

Cots or Extra beds are not available. Infants under 2 years can share existing bedding free of charge in our double rooms and family rooms.

AMENITIES

An iron, ironing board, and hair dryer are available for guest use and can be found in the shared kitchen cupboard. We kindly request that guests return these items after use so they are accessible to others.

QUITE TIME

Please note, we don't allow for parties (not even really quiet ones). Quiet hours are between 22:00 and 06:00. We kindly ask all guest to respect their neighbours and keep noise to minimum.

LOCAL SERVICES

Tesco Express Elsenham is open daily 06:00 until 23:00 and it's located just 5-minute walk from Stansted Lodge Elsenham.

Elsenham Fish Bar offers variety of dishes to takeaway from traditional Fish & Chips to burgers and pies. Located 5-minutes walk from Stansted Lodge Elsenham. Our guests can benefit from 20% discount. Just show your booking confirmation to the cashier and enjoy! View menu or order online

There are more high-street shops and restaurants available in nearby town - Bishop's Stortford (15-mins drive).

LOST PROPERTY POLICY

If any personal belongings are left behind in the bedroom after your stay, please contact the host as soon as possible to arrange retrieval. All found items will be stored securely for a maximum of 30 days. After this period, unclaimed items will be disposed of or donated at the host’s discretion. 

SHARED KITCHENETTE

Guests are welcome to use the shared kitchenette, which includes a microwave, fridge, toaster and tea and making facilities.

SMOKING

It is strictly against the law to smoke/vape in all our guest bedrooms. A penalty charge of £50 will be charged to card details provided at the time of booking for non-compliance. Designated smoking areas is located outside of the front door for your convenience.

PARKING

Complimentary parking is available during your stay (subject to availability). Long-stay parking is available for an additional cost and subject to availability. Please, visit our Parking page for more information. Parking spaces at the front of the property are for overnight parking only. Pre-booked short and long stay parking is located to the rear of the property. All parking spaces are for regular to medium size vehicles. Parking is not suitable for vans, trucks etc.

PETS

Pets (not even really cute ones) are not allowed at Stansted Lodge Elsenham.

CCTV

For the safety and security of our guests, staff and the property, CCTV cameras are in operation in all public areas of the property. These cameras are monitored to ensure a safe environment and to assist in the prevention and detection of crime. Any recorded footage will only be shared with relevant authorities if necessary. By entering the premises, you consent to the use of CCTV for these purposes.
